Preparing for Your Certification
We are committed to providing a structured, professional training environment. The following information will help you prepare for your course and ensure a smooth training experience.
What to Bring
Students should arrive prepared with the following:
- Government-issued photo ID
- Appropriate work clothing (long pants)
- Steel-toe or sturdy work boots
- Gloves suitable for rope handling
- Personal safety glasses (if required)
- Notebook and pen
All primary training equipment, ropes, harnesses, and devices are provided during the course.
Physical Requirements
Industrial rope access is physically demanding. Students should:
- Be comfortable working at height
- Be capable of moderate physical exertion
- Have no medical conditions restricting participation
- Be able to climb, ascend, and descend safely

Course Structure
- Classroom-based safety instruction

- Practical ascent and descent training

- Final certification assessment
Attendance is required for the full duration of the course.
Certification Assessment
All courses conclude with a formal assessment conducted under industry standards. Assessment includes:
- Practical rope access skills
- Safety procedures & equipment inspection
- Rescue execution
- Written examination
Code of Conduct
Professional behavior is expected. Students must follow instructor guidance, adhere to safety protocols, and arrive on time.
Safety violations or disruptive behavior may result in dismissal.
Accommodations
Course pricing does not include lodging. We can recommend nearby hotels in Orange, Texas that frequently accommodate our students.
If traveling from out of town, we recommend arriving the day before the course begins.
Our goal is preparation and competence, not simply testing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Certification validity depends on the certifying body and level achieved. Details will be provided during training.
All classes are held Monday thru Friday. Each Class is a One Week Course.
Level I courses do not require prior rope access certification. Advanced levels require appropriate documented experience.
Meals are not included. Students are encouraged to bring lunch or plan accordingly.
